Happy World Poetry day and thanks for this beautiful share! Always do it your way, like a wise soul friend of mine uses to say: Slow down, you are already late. What a beautiful thing to sit with a poem! You couldn't be in better company. Keep stumbling over the words for they lead you to hidden paths and deeper into the forest of wisdom. Your poem is one of my favourites, however it is hard to pick from such a variety of stunning poetry! 💕 Happy Spring and lots of Love
Thanks as always Sadhbh! I appreciate you Being -Here! I loved your last post. So many similarities to the same energies that are reaching me. Visibility. Seeing beyond the eyes. Yes I seem to want to keep dancing into “old” poems! I feel new wrinkles to explore. New rivers to discover into the words. New rivers to discover into me . Whoever I am. A poem is never finished. Are we? We are at the poem. Happy spring! 🙏❤️
Same to you Will! Happy spring! Big hugs! Time to reconnect and share some poetry. Share some life. Let’s set up a call. I need to take your next book order too lol. You are one of my favourite poets in this world. 🙏❤️
A fine offering, Jamie, to the daughters of Mnemosyne this fine and auspicious day. Poems will venture on long journeys and as Will says, the moon crosses many paths.
Thanks Phillip! Happy spring! May you continue your journey inwards. In-words. I’m glad to see you’re out exploring stone circles on that bike. You are a poem. An inspiration. You make it better! 🙏❤️
Chewing slowly Marisol. Chewing slow. Taking time to taste with a nose, to touch with ears, listen with lips and to find the scent with our hands. Bless you 🙏❤️
What a beautiful poem. Spiralling ever onwards and inwards....🤍
Oh...the Robins!! I've seen them (and heard them!) too!! Soon the tulips, the daffodils, the crocuses, and magnolias will also sing to us their songs of beautiful poetry. What a glorious unfolding it all is.
Happy World Poetry Day and Spring Blessings! Jamie, your reflections and the soul-stirring poem 'Poetry' resonate like a sacred hymn, weaving light, mystery and truth into a timeless embrace. The image of a whirling dervish feels so fitting, as your words hold that same captivating rhythm and depth.
They awaken something profound and ancient within mind, body, spirit and soul - a reminder of the beauty we all so often overlook. My gratitude can scarcely be captured in words, but please know this: your poetry is a gift, and my heart pirouettes with joy for it. ❤️🙏
Thanks Deborah! I appreciate the kind words and look forward to more of your beautiful poetry! Happy poetry day and welcome to Spring. May the birth of new creativity sing her whirling songs. Thanks for Being- Here 🙏❤️
Hi Jamie, feeling into a poem and your point about wanting to keep writing them resonates deeply, and l guess in a way we do because as you point out, “poetry is interested on the other side of language”, our complete being. Thank you, love and blessings to you. 🙏💚😊
Thank you Simone! Happy autumn in Oz! Blessing you some beautiful colour and curtain bending poetry on the other side! Thank you for all the big smile support this last year. That poem never ends. Blessings 🙏❤️
🤣🥰Funny you say that, l did ask John this morning, in the swinging of the blind, whether we were going to finish the poem prompted by the orange sunrise the other morning 🤣🙏🏼. Thank you for your support too 🙏🏼😊💜
Poetry, like life, is generally attuned to the adage "Move slowly, move on faster". Thank you for your poem; it's well worth another outing. I think we write poems about poetry to try and understand greater depths of what we are doing. Maybe like most poetry - it's an act driven by 'Know Thyself'.
I’ll keep writing that marathon every single day! In the spaces between those words there are doors. Through those doors there’s magic. Bless you, Sam. Thanks for being-here🙏❤️
First of all, happy Poetry Day, Jamie! You are one of the poets who makes life—my life—more beautiful and adds depth to it. I’m grateful to know a poet like you and to have the poetry in me awakened while reading yours. I guess that’s the true gift of poetry—to awaken something in each of us in ways we never knew possible.
Second, as soon as I opened your post yesterday, right after you sent it into the world, I loved your entry photo! It’s exactly how I imagined taking a picture of you, and it immediately made me think of one of my favorite painters, Caspar David Friedrich, and his wonderful painting The Soul of Nature. It complements your words so harmoniously.
Third, you mentioned one of my favorite poets from high school, the Romanian poet Lucian Blaga. He was a huge inspiration for me in my teenage years—not just through his poetry, but also through his philosophy and profound way of seeing the world. Thank you for mentioning him.
I will forever be in love with these lines:
"She guides me into the mystery
As wisdom
She knows I am nothing
As love
She knows I am everything."
I felt this in my bones:
"Poetry is the journey that walks us home
We were never the answer
We were always the poem."
And this wordplay is my absolute favorite:
"We are the poem. Always. All ways."
"I don’t know you. You don’t know me.
Yet mirrors we shall be."
Mirrors we should be. Thank you for the reflection, the reflexion, and the reminder.
Poetry is definitely a process of awakening. Maybe a door to the inside? Words read aloud can definitely be magic.
Caspar David Friedrich - the soul of nature is a classic! It’s funny that that photo has often been compared to that picture! A glimpse to my soul in nature. Watching. Connecting. Being. Thanks for seeing that!
You are surrounded by such beautiful poetry in your country. For me to only be able to read it in English as a translation is probably not even close to how deep Blaga can touch us in his own tongue.
Thank you for quoting some lines! For setting some words free. On those wings we all make this world brighter. Mirrors. Ripples. Widening circles.
Thank you Jamie for one of your original poems. It seems all your poems stem from this poem.
I love the idea that the poem keeps moving. Perhaps anything that is in the process of being created or being offered to the world must be a living breathing presence.
I had no idea it was world poetry day or world forest day. As you say: "Every day is poetry day, as I meet the dawn to join in her annunciation." Beautiful! I certainly have been immersing myself in the poetry of life and the green of the forests this week!
Thank you Jamie. What a gorgeous community you have created here also. 💚
I can relate to being in a slow dance with words. The things that tumble out of me, whilst my pen or fingers can barely keep up, are few and far between. You are a blessing, my friend, to so many here. Thank you for your wisdom (you DO have it) and your love. XO
Thanks Danielle. I hope school is going well. Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words. We are the poem. Looking forward to reading your next post as the time for tumbling arrives. 🙏❤️
Thank you. You truly always know just what to say. I mean that sincerely. Perhaps the spaces are just what I need...there are already penned things to share (of course), but sometimes, the spaces and silences are just right. XO

"When a poem ends it’s still moving." Amen!
Thanks Muriel! Bless you a beautiful spring in the Markdale woods! 🙏❤️
I am so deeply grateful that our paths crossed those many moons ago, Jim. Thank you for your words and your presence 🙏💚

All works in progress,
poems, poets, slow-cooked meals.
To be continued...

Thanks Jacqueline! I loved your spring song on Patreon! It flows into that spring energy. Keep singing. Keep creating. It is all Poetry and you
the poet. Spiraling. Unfolding. Onwards and in-words 😉🙏❤️
Aww thank you, my brother in poetry!! Have a wonderful flowy weekend! ✨🤍🌷

Thanks Josh! That meaning is always trying to elude me! Who am I? That’s one endless poem indeed. It continues to rewrite it”self”! 🙏❤️
"I have several poems on the go. Not quite ready yet. They move through me slowly." it's a marathon, Jamie. beautiful piece, and happy spring!

School is going well, thank you for asking. I'm currently questioning my ability to tumble, so we'll see 😉😘. XO
I hear you. Your presence is felt in the spaces between those words. 🙏❤️
Thank you. You truly always know just what to say. I mean that sincerely. Perhaps the spaces are just what I need...there are already penned things to share (of course), but sometimes, the spaces and silences are just right. XO
“Silence contains all poetry in the same way that the colour white contains all the other colours.” Ana Blandiana 🙏❤️
Alright...well now, I'm just going to tear up...cuz that seems right. Muwa. You are literally the best. Sending hugs and kisses! XO
Happy Spring, Jamie. A beautiful poem to celebrate the transition.
Thanks Perry! The robins have arrived! ❤️
