Thank you for your beautiful poetry and the reminders. I got lost this morning and it was love that brought me back. We must treat ourselves with kindness rather than berating ourselves when we feel we have lost that connection to our soul's loving source. That is the only way back.
Lovely Jamie. I love this: "The rapture of being alive".... I love so much of it: your voice in the audio, the beauty of the words, your incredible poetry and John O'Donohue who I have been drawn towards in whispery ways through Irish friends, and Irish treks through graveyards and windswept, wet, shiny, dark stone paths and then what I don't love is the resistance that arises in me, the barriers I feel, the frustration of trying to grasp poetry with my mind, the part of me that says, "no, we are all unique fragrances," and the part or parts of me that are angry...waiting to be loved too, just as they are. Thank you. I realize as I write, this makes little sense. I will comment anyway, as I am grateful and honor you and your beautiful poetry and sense of things.
Thanks Terra for your kind words and celtic charm. I see and hear you. The gift of poetry for me is a portal into presence. Once I try to analyze it, I’ve gone from soul and heart into head. I can only say I have questions more than answers as I grow grey. The practice seems to be to let it flow through me fully being aware I am here for this human experience. A body in a soul. Imperfect, emotional, angry at times yet whole...all part of this rapture of being alive. On a quest to fall in love with this stranger of self I wake to every morning. Love Eyes are a practice. Bless you Terra.
Hi Jamie. I took your comment in for a few days. I am sure that it is not by chance that my driver here bought me a t-shirt that says: "I'm thinking." I know I have an issue. I also contemplated and tested feeling if I could sense being a body in a soul as I was walking. Ahhh...it is all such a journey and you write so poetically, which is good for me. I need a t-shirt that says, "I'm thinking...and it's not working."
Thanks Terra! I totally hear you. Its definitely a journey with no destination to that space where we watch the thinker. Just know its all working. 🙏❤️
Forget about enlightenment.
Sit down wherever you are
And listen to the wind singing in your veins.
Feel the love, the longing, the fear in your bones.
Open your heart to who you are, right now,
Not who you would like to be,
Not the saint you are striving to become,
But the being right here before you, inside you, around you.
Thank you Jamie. I had to read this again a couple times over a few days. It is beautiful. I may add that poem to my post this week, with your name for sending it to me. It is a very, very lovely gift.
Love it. Thank you, Jamie, for reminding us during these dark days that Love is what it's all about. And what my life's goal is: "The rapture of being alive is the journey to our inner being. Our essence. The journey to our soul is where we will find the flame of love waiting to warm us."
Thanks Mo! Big shout out to you for your book -The Shift. I picked up a copy and I can only say ...thank you! There’s no map to that familiar feeling in our bones but your words guide one closer. Towards love. Thank you so much for reading and for reaching out. Thank you for sharing your words with the world. You make it better. 🙏❤️
There is so much in here. So many wonderful reminders and truths. I expect I'll be reading through this several times today. Thanks, Jamie, for the way you show up in the world and how you point us back to the essential nature of being. In the foreword of one of my favorite Sufi texts (Know Yourself: An Explanation of the Oneness of Being), the translator of the work says: "The movement of existence is the movement of Love for the sake of the revelation of Beauty." I love that, and your writing reminds me of it. BTW... the book is well worth checking out if you haven't already.
Thank you so much for the kind comments Kevin! Right back at you. That one I haven’t heard of. I will definitely check that book out. Appreciate the recommendation. 🙏
Keep writing! thanks
Phil
Thanks Phil 🙏❤️

Thank you so much for reading! I’m glad love found you. Its definitely a practice to see through the eyes of love everyday. Bless you. 🙏❤️

You are already more and less
Than whatever you can know.
Breathe out,
Touch in,
Let go.

No need to name me. I am happy the poem found you. The sign of a great poem is that it never leaves us where we were. 🙏❤️
“It never leaves us where we were….” like little prayers and blessings
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and your poetry.
Thanks A. Bless you

Jamie...thank you so much for all your kindness. Generosity is a scarce trait these days.
Likewise! Congrats on the book, Mo! I just purchased my copy on Amazon. Looking forward to diving in.
