Poetry is what happens when nothing else can
Charles Bukowski
Poetry
She arrives
As a knowing
That watches me
Yet resides in my bones
She arrives
Giving birth
to just one word
More come to follow
The ripple now a widening circle
That weaves the tapestry of what I see
She finds me
everywhere
She guides me
into the mystery
As wisdom
She knows I am nothing
As love
She knows I am everything
I am a life she writes
as I dance between the two
Darkness to light
Day to night
From dusk til dawn
From cradle to grave
She sings a song
A song that I hear
Into the now of here
I inhale this moment
I breathe her out slow
Poetry is the journey
that walks us home
We were never the answer
We were always
the poem

Poetry is the alchemy of presence. It is the form of art that we practice every day of our lives. Poetry is created in words yet goes beyond the words themselves. Poetry is a contemplative practice that brings us to the self, and to the no self of the present moment. A daily spiritual practice reading, writing and speaking poetry is an act of resilience that creates spaces through which transformation is possible.
Poetry used as a part of everyday ritual, blessing, prayer, intuitive writing, journaling, emotional regulation and meditation will guide us to a deeper sense of connection and belonging in a transcendence of self. In the spaces beyond the words our soul waits with benevolence. Poetry lives into the questions that have no right to go away.
Poetry is where everything converges as we burn in the fire of time. We are her child.
Who are we?
We are the poem.
